This is a very well constructed poem. The picture suits the poem nicely and its certainly meets the requirements for the contest. The tone is consistent and it is organized well. The rhyme is generally effective and contributed positively to the content and tone. I like the "quiet", "gentle?" tone of the poem which suits the spiritual nature of the topic very well. The pairing of the lines always works well and flows naturally and nicely throughout.

If I were to make a suggestion, the syllable count on some of the lines in stanza 4 read a little clunky, otherwise great work - Cheers!

How wonderful that even lacking a true father's love, as so many do, you know the love of the Heavenly Father. I do also feel His wonderful embrace. Praise God for His immeasurable grace and comfort. My favorite stanza of your poem was:
His grace sufficient for the day --
with love that time transcends.
I feel his saving grace each day --
A love that never ends.

Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped. Thanks for the great poem.

God morning, I loved your poem and it was one that I closely related to. In fact I also has a few times when I felt exactly what you are describing here. I often wondered if anyone else ever felt that because when I felt it, I was praying and it was very clear that I was being hugged or held by God, receiving his acceptance and/or comfort.
I was going to join this contest but my poem was too long, so I posted it in my portfolio instead of the contest. As I started to pour out my thoughts, it became a poem of 620 words instead of the required 200-300. Your poem is very similar to my poem that I almost posted in that I too spoke of a time when I had to look to God in dire times. He is always there for us...
I hope you poem does well in this contest because it is excellent and I am sure that it will.

It was very clear to me as well. And, whenever I want, I can feel that comfort of sitting on my Heavenly Father's lap.

I hope that you are having a beautiful Sunday. I worked overnight shift, left work, attended my Sunday meeting and then returned to work for the 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm shift. I'm beat but it's quiet so I am going to be doing some reading as well. I may check in for some of your poetry too, if this is okay. I just thought I would ask first.
