I don't have too much trouble with the English slang, I only have to read it slower as not to get lost. LOL! I came to London a couple times to visit a girl I met here in America. A lovely girl, who talked so prim and proper while she was here, but when we got out on the town with all her friends, I couldn't understand a word. LOL! Thanks for another fine chapter. :-)

I can quite believe it too. When the Londoner's get going, you have to listen closely to follow. LOL, my late mother-in-law was from the Cockney part of London, everything they said was in rhyming slang, ie: I'm going 'apples and pears- = I'm going upstairs. It's really fun. LOL. So now the reason for Veronica's appearance in 1846 is manifestly obvious now. Daveth tells Veronica that his da' as he calls him, ( I thought "da' was a Jordy thing, Sandra.) has vanished when he touched Ann. She doesn't have a clue how she can help, but knows she wouldn't be there otherwise! But she encourages in that fact. Funny she should be there in spirit form. Well done Sandra, blessings, Roy

Hi Roy, thank you so much for still following my story. No, Da' is used in Cornwall, and I think it's common in Wales and Ireland too. Veronica will have her work cut out in this book, it's not just a case of listening and putting things right in here time. It's going to be very different. Daveth is a likeable character and the accents are believable. He misses his dad and wants to know where he got to. It makes me wonder if the father was murdered. Let's hope that something in the time travel can change things so that he can be reunited with his dad.

The powers that be are trying to work that one out. Ideally, they don't want her to know, but it depends on how Veronica manages with what they give her to work with.
