You write very well, with smooth flowing sentences that are easy to read. You come up with very interesting analogies, like the equal sign and mirror. You also draw some interesting connections to pop culture.

I still struggle with the structure of your essays. Each paragraph on its own is interesting, but I often have difficulty seeing how it supports your thesis, or exactly what your thesis is. Perhaps adding short introduction and summary paragraphs would help.

Your essays are always interesting. Keep writing!

From a writing perspective, this is well written. This sounds much like a theory my brother came up with not long ago. Combining his theory with yours, we are all living in a hologram, whereby all that we are, all that we do, and all that we see are the results of our thoughts. That begs the question...do we actually exist at all?

I have been schooled. This is an excellent piece.

The average intelligence quotient (IQ) is set at 100,

The next time you meet someone with an IQ of 100, remember, half the people are even dumber.

Thanks for sharing this work on the secret of life and how we relate to everything. It was quite educational and thought-provoking. I did wonder though in regards to your statement about living in a time continuum. My son insists that when we die, we turn into nothingness. JW

You write interesting essays. When I come upon you work, I know it by the guy with the light coming from his head. Some of the things I've mulled over in my mind, your essay supports. Not only that, your essay encourages a person to strive. Bringing yourself up out of the dumps under your on power is what I see here. I like the idea that "Imagination is more important than knowledge." However, I do not rest comfortably when science, politics, and maybe some religions are not in unison on the topic of Global Warming. Your work provokes thought.

Once again you gave me personally a very meaningful read. I'm afraid I've copy-pasted it to read again and again in the next few days or weeks. When something means much to me, I don't simply go through it and throw it aside. I sort of horde it, to come back to again and again.

The para below really got me thinking and asking myself questions - I still don't have eny answers or explanation that I deem satisfactory.

>>Communication can be defined as "the sending or receiving of a MESSAGE that MEANS THE SAME to both sender and receiver." That is extremely difficult to achieve using human language. Probably the two methods that convey true messages best are higher mathematics and music. Mathematics is processed in our digital left hemisphere with logic and music's synchronicity is processed as emotion in the analog right hemisphere. When both hemispheres are well-developed, we can start climbing the ladder of enlightenment.<<

Thanks for sharing another valuable piece of writing.

Observing the magazine racks at the grocery checkout, watching vapid and inane television shows and the content on Facebook is pretty convincing that the most popular form of communication today is people talking about people.

~ Personally, I doubt if this is completely true in the strictest sense of the meaning. People talk about people they've been fooled into believing are worth talking about (sorry I haven't phrased that one quite as elegantly as I'd've preferred, haha!) What they don't realise in the process is that they're doing the Number One most important thing to capitalism - consuming.

Thinking outside the box doesn't appeal to someone in a comfort zone with the rest of the herd. ~ Precisely.

Sent this to my Facebook and my Google+ to share with my readership. I need to go there and post your CreateSpace link too.

Thank you.

That was so interesting, as all your writing is. I am going to look deeper into Buddhism. I agree with a lot of what you say, I can't say one way or another about some as I don't understand some without delving more inside. You always make me think, and you always come up with some thoughts I've long had and not had answers to. When I think in terms of computers, and what a machine is capable of storing in its hard drive that I will never be able to find, it makes me wonder how much of our brain is sitting idling away. What a waste. But, are we ready to take on more at the moment? Could our minds adjust and take the knowledge easily, or will that be left to the future generations? I look forward to your next essay. This was so good, well explained and has given me, even more, questions than I had before. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Man's ability to rationalize thought separate him from other mammals. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read. Good luck in our contest.

This essay offers some very interesting ideas. I found some of the analogies particularly helpful: "the mirror concept" and equating that to the equal sign in mathematics works well. The "I see" greeting drawn from Avatar, and applied, I also found intriguing.
I'm not sure I understood how the observation that Lewis Carroll may have been "high on cocaine" contributes to the essay.
I also struggled with the organization and cohesiveness of the essay. The overriding discussion of the importance of the higher levels of thought seem to be the primary point and were discussed in varied and interesting detail. But the movement later in the essay toward the 'suppression of the masses' was confusing. The earlier paragraphs led me to believe you were arguing that each individual has responsibility for cultivating their ability to acquire higher level "thought".
The meaning of the following line was a challenge for me: "Lower levels of understanding may have issue for taking responsibility for creating their situation, but, until they do, they will suffer."
Also, the last paragraph brought in new material to the essay and I the connection to prior material was not what I normally expect in a concluding paragraph.

This non-fiction begins with the words of Aristotle about wisdom, and then more other words like knowledge, communication, intelligence, thoughts, logic, all are interrelated; understanding is essential for better living and appreciation of living; I liked.
