Good accompanying artwork. Nicely written poem. Good, loving poem to convey making amends to a bad situation. Expressing ourselves from time apart or rethinking the situation is always a great thing. Sensible. Good work.

Hi Marilyn - this is a good and honest poem. You do not spout out advice or become all phyosophical. You just asks simple questions "why can't we all just get along". In a perfect world yes, but it is not in the nature of things for this to happen.
We could learn from the animals. They live by the rules, man does not. There is greed, envy, etc. I liked your poem a lot. I also like the flower - the bleeding heart, gorgeous. Very enjoyable/ Warm regards Dorothy x

I like this one. We should be able to tolerate other people's points of view, even if we don't agree with them. "Agree to disagree", that's what I like to say. Very creative poem. I liked the line "not festering like a canker". Great job.

Marilyn,
Thank you for your input on this subject. I wish all people would put differences aside and live as one. Christ died for us all yet we can't see past the nose on our face at times. God bless my friend.

Hi Marilyn, this is a great and timely message. Tolerance of others and their opinions doesn't seem to exist much anymore. Hoping and praying for change though.

Dear Marilyn, These flowers have several names, one is "the fairies' fishing line"while another is "hearts upon a string". I have never grown them myself, but have seen them in gardens usually near water. The poem expresses a courteous plea for accord between two (possibly) warring factions in order to approach each other in a state of commiseration and mutual understanding. I do hope this piece worked its magic and the desired state came about. This piece is a well written, neat little gem
Well done cheers Cass

Hi Cass. Thank you for your nice review of this piece. I have the bleeding hearts in my garden. They are huge and gorgeous, pink ones and white ones. I like your alternate names, especially "hearts on a string." I never heard that before. Marilyn

Marilyn, I can not agree with you more. I realize that people have different opinions, which I respect. Sometimes it is best to agree to disagree. Sometimes there is no right or wrong, but just an opinion. Sometimes you have to live and let live. Regardless, we have to respect each other.

Thank you for your sage advice. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Ha, I feel an affinity here. Just so you know I am a 'Bible Thumper' as some call me. I do tend to put the 'cat amongst the pigeons,' but I am happy to read anything, even if we disagree on politics or whatever. Don't worry you don't get 'thumped' unless you are willing hehe. You just recently read one of the final chapters of my autobiography so though I should look you up. My Sis-in-Law and I have had some wonderful conversations as long as we steer clear of religion and politics of which we are poles apart, hehe. Cheers from Australia.

Hi Sankey. I am a conservative politically and proud of it. Common sense rules the day for me. Although I am not a thumper, I am a believer. I try to stay away from political writes unless they are fair. Most are just rants and reasons to bash. I don't like that. I feel we must all be tolerant and respectful of others belief systems even if they are not ours. I comment on what I read, but don't base my rating on content. I have read some pretty nasty stuff here on the site and don't bother with those people. I've been to Australia and enjoyed myself there. Marilyn

f you wish me the very best,
then surely I'll do that for you.
Let's put aside our disagreements,
and tolerate all points of view.

Oh, if only, Marilyn - life would be so much better -
it's too short to have differences.

Well penned, my friend.

Margaret

Hi Marilyn; thank you so much for this poem about acceptance and forgiveness. Using the 'bleeding hearts' as both the plant and the descriptive phrase, you have woven a tale of the beseeching soul.

We all only want to be accepted and we're willing to accept others - until...

Hi Patty. Thank you for your supportive review. Thank God for free will, we all have one and that's a good thing. We can celebrate it without punching each other in the nose. (I hope.) Marilyn
