Tampoco me lo puedo creer. What a lovely story, Maria Jose, and a credible one as well. I certainly hope it will do well in the contest. It deserves it. All the best. Ulla:)))

Hey there Maria,

This is a very interesting story and you have ended it with such a twist. I thought at first, as soon as I read the Professor's invite to his home, 'How inappropriate." I even got a little angry with him for having such an ego but then i remembered that this is a fictional story. I do realize though that this story has possibly happened many times in real life. It is rared though that this kind of man would be loyal but possible that even he could be capable of actually falling in love with a student and eventually staying true only to her.

So I loved the story, very good Maria.

As you say, this must happen quite often in real life...
In this case, I just thought of Edward Rochester and tried to write something inspired by the character, but in a modern environment.
    Thanks for reading.

Dip! Appendix indeed! So you've seen Jane Eyre?
The book is great. I know you're not too fond of reading, but you should give it a try.
    Thanks for your review.

A good unexpected romance story. It probably happens more often than we think (professors and students). I liked your rewrite of the ending with you as the heroine. One discrepancy--you did buy a bottle of wine and put it in your rucksack but didn't give it to him or drink it? Marilyn

Thanks for noticing the bottle thing. I'll try to think of a way to fix it.

A most commendably written story for the "Unexpected Romance Contest." The message sent to us is crystal-clear. I stimulates one's imagination, and has it
beg for more and more. The photo chosen by the Author reminds me of a young
Clint Eastwood in the role of, "For a Few Dollars More!" I would so enjoy, seeing
this as an introduction to a Novel. A "Salute!" My dear friend. Thank you for
sharing your expertise with us all on FanStory.
Respectfully,
Bill

Thanks for your very kind review and generous rating, Bill.
BTW, the guy in the picture is William Hurt in Jane Eyre.

Very interesting. It caught my attention right away.

I was really caught up in it when you said you'd borrowed someone else's ending. The result seems to be the same, however.

Good luck in the contest. 8-)

A very well-written story about an unexpected romance. We go about our every day life without anything exciting happens for years. Then one day, someone cross your path and everything changes in a few seconds.

Happy ending do come and go. They are so wonderful to read about, and often the stuff dreams are made of. The writing in the story is well defined, and I was drawn in and it held my interest through both endings. Thank you for sharing,
