Hello T. I felt like the crazy girl here reading this. I expected it to come out one way and H E L L O it came out entirely unique. The transgender dealio is so nuts! Well... all I can say is that in this day and age, this scenario is completely plausible.
I've always felt I had poet/story writer Edgar Allan Poe living inside of me.
Perhaps plastic surgery could...oh, never mind.
I certainly didn't see this ending coming which is the mark of a good piece of flash fiction.

You've done an excellent job with the 100 words you chose. I was engaged from the start and so curious to learn who the narrator was waiting for and what the exchange was going to be. I must say, the ending was unexpected. Well done, good luck in the contest.

Oh, I like this. A lot. I have a friend who finished his transition about three years ago and is now happily married and happily everything else, too.
Beautiful post, wonderful use of so few words. I'll be voting for this one.
