A dilemma that all of us can identify with, Patty. We never seem to run of things to say, though. Self expression in any form is a freedom we all like to experience. I enjoyed this poem, nicely done. Marilyn

Thank you for letting us peek over your shoulder as you write. I enjoyed your bits of rhyme and use of "locutions". Here's to filling "the void"! Smiles- Joan

"What will I write today" is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. You KEEP WRITING and I'll keep reading. This is a definite six.

I like what you wrote today. This process that we all know. What I like most about this work, is your pondering, this tossing and churning of thoughts. You express this so elequently with the whimsy of "puppy tails an kitty growls"

One way to overcome writer's block, I guess - to write about the block itself. Your repeated line 'What will I write today?' is important in that it never once hints that you will write nothing (which is what I have been doing lately)
Interesting form with little attempt at rhyme or meter, but the verse being given a formal structure of regular stanzas bound together by the repeating line.

Hi Steve; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. I DID take a few days off, and then posted two stories today. I was mostly occupied with Howie's surgery, and I needed to be an attentive dog mom,

This poem, What Will I Write Today?, sounds like anyone facing the empty page. I think you'll write a poem today, and someone will give it a five.

ahhh, you know today's very thoughts!
"What...will it be poem or story...truth or fiction..?
It's nice to get past that moment of doubt and insecurity even about whether a creative idea will ever show up. So long as we just keep trying SOMETHING, ANYTHING, creation isn't far away.
Every word you wrote is real. Nice to know we're all the same.
Enjoyed your poem, he easy natural flow and rhythm.

Just do what I do when seeking inspiration, Patty.
Write a poem or story about something that scare the beejeezus outta you--makes your insides squirm.
Hey, it works for me!
