Darn it ... out of sixes for this great poetic lesson! I really appreciate the time and generosity given here to teach this unique poetic style. Many sincere thanks! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

Like your Dante sonnet you have chosen a "b" rhyme that is assonant to your "a" rhyme. I commented on this when reviewing your Dante piece so I am assuming wicked malice aforethought here. I want the last line to read "and slow to be unfurled" -- not a full rhyme but an interesting slant wouldn't you say.

This is a great little series on sonnets that i am thoroughly enjoying.

Thank you Pantygynt, I just can't get my mind around that change to do it. Although I like the nuance.

I love the picture and the words fit it perfectly. I like the comical effect these birds have and the poem also captures that as well. This is a great, well-written poem and thank you for sharing.

A very well-written Hex-sonnetta. This format I have done two times before. It us a fun format. You chose an excellent subject of the Egret busy taking off. A great photo as well.

Thank you for sharing. I believe this is the first example I have seen of this form type, and I love the posts where I learn something new. I did enjoy your informative description, and would even encourage you to create a contest around this form.

This speaks about a Great White Egret on its wayward wings, how it maintains its feat in wings in general and how it wings overseas and enjoys breeze and climbs; I liked, enjoyed the flight experience read.

I very much enjoyed this Hex Sonnetta format, Tom.
Sonnets often sound forced to me; as if those writing them are trying to squeeze in too many words per line just to meet a specific syllable count and structure.
Not this.
This read quite natural, and flowed as smooth as silk when read aloud.
As for the Egret...holy hang gliding.
What a wingspan those birds have!
Excellent writing as always.
