What a wonderful tribute to what is apparently a wonderful father, who really knew how to be a father. It is my firm belief that a father who raises his children in the right way, being an excellent example of how one should conduct himself, does not need to be much of a disciplinarian. Children very often imitate what they see and know to be good. If you are engaged in life, smiling often, loving and attentive, I strongly believe that your children will get the message and try very hard to duplicate your actions. This is a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing it.

What a wonderful tribute to what is apparently a wonderful father, who really knew how to be a father. It is my firm belief that a father who raises his children in the right way, being an excellent example of how one should conduct himself, does not need to be much of a disciplinarian. Children very often imitate what they see and know to be good. If you are engaged in life, smiling often, loving and attentive, I strongly believe that your children will get the message and try very hard to duplicate your actions. This is a wonderful story. Great tribute and gift to your father! Sounds like you've had an interesting life together. There are a lot of hooks in this that you could easily expand into another story, and I'd like to read more.
You are trying to fit a lot into this short piece, and sometimes the structure suffers a little, like here:
He always seemed to have interesting ideas for making money, and besides working very hard all of his life (another great example to follow), he is a talented and accomplished musician.
One of these many ideas was raising worms for bait in the backyard of our house on Stafford Avenue, in Concord.
Consider rearranging this so the worm farm comes right after the interesting ideas for making money. Then talk about his musical skills and gigs.

Your father will love this wonderful tribute. It has to touch his heart to know he touched your life in so many way and that he means so very much to you. Creating memories is one of the best things a parent can give a child and it looks like you were very rich in the ones he helped create for you.
