How entertaining and cute!
It reminds me of the explanation of a relationship! Or a guest (wallflower) at a party.
Yet the slobbery verbs aren't entirely actionable, or I don't know if smell is a proper action for the slob. Or you're implying they smell themselves? Ha! Good one
;)
Are you getting a divorce?
Anyway, I'm thoroughly entertained, it is so funny. Thank you!

Well--they do say that opposites attract. Great job in pointing out the things that would make for an uneasy alliance, though. Best to live in two separate houses and getting together for those special moments. Marilyn

Um, Marilyn, is this a review of my Diamonte poem (which isn't about a couple, but the contrast between a man and woman, unknown to each other, who never should meet)?
Alliance is out of the question. No special moments even REMOTELY possible. ("Remotely," get it?) ;)

Oh, I "get" the piece alright. Just a little tongue-in-cheek about the ridiculousness of such a liaison.

Very interesting. The antonyms and contrary ideas are better than synonyms.
Clearly shows the two type!
One finicky and neatness freak admired by every one , the other a proper sol!
All the best for the contest.

You certainly showed us the contrast. I've not heard the word 'neatnick' I'm guessing its something to do with being tidy. By contrast 'slob' says it all. MaggieF

Dear Mystery Poet,
What a delightfully fun -- and true-- poem about opposites. Of course, your poem reminded me of that old show: "The Odd Couple". What a great entry for the Diamante contest. Nice! Good luck!

In this diamond-shaped poem, you contrasted people who are neat and those who are untidy. You were able to convey this message to me. I also like the image that you used. It is a very funny image and it reminded me of Mr. Bean, the cartoon. Thank you for writing this and have a splendid day.
