Another great, exciting chapter. More information coming out all the time. More clues. Now the spags. "You are the designated [the] note taker."
This next one is funny.... The first day we took the [fairy](ferry)

Nce work with this chapter. Shana's asked a good question. I am curious to find out if the curator is also Russian. I found one minor spag:

They sit down to work out who Kuznetsov is she came to New York with a friend called Lisa, as Shana is a high school teacher, teaching English, Lisa also taught Englishironic isn't it? She and friend had visited the Art Museum, and saw the painting, made her claim to the curator, who called the other "owners" it was then she was followed! Well done, Barbara, things are hotting up. Blessings, Roy
Typo : the first week we took the (fairy) to Ellis island. Ferry?

Life goes on; problems comes; man gets what he never thinks of; actions continues one after another; the matter of painting is still there; who trusts whom; security check is unavoidable; integrity matters; I liked and enjoyed the thoughts read.

Excellent. This is a rather interesting and different type of story. It is well-written and the dialogue is handled in a very good manner. I didn't spot any mistakes so you must have done a good job of editing. Good work.

Thanks for sharing another fine chapter. As for your mistakes, "Forget about it," as they say in New York. Sometimes we all have so many other things on our minds that we can't write without mistakes. I'm the worst. There are those like you who can keep readers' attention, and those who can't. The grammar part of it all is highly overrated, in spite of what you teachers and these Fan Story grammarians say. Oh, yeah, look below for one more mistake. Whoever thought I would be correcting a teacher? HEE HEE! Great job! :-)

Thank you, I have made the correction. LOL I appreciate the help. I usually read what it's supposed to say not what it actually says.

I read right through my mistakes, too. Reading what I want it to say. I'm just glad teachers do it too, It means I might be normal, to a degree. LOL!

You are extremely normal. My first graders catch my mistakes all the time. I praise them for it. They need to know mistakes are okay and you learn from them.

You just gained my respect as a teacher. Last week I read about Vanderbilt University's study that found twice as many young people are hurting themselves and committing suicide than did in their 2005 study. When will we finally figure out that everyone can't be the best or the prettiest, or sometimes, even good at something. We are finally seeing the results of constant competition pushed upon our children to overachieve. The pressures come soon enough, so why can't we just let them be kids. I went to a funeral last Thursday for a 16 year old who was found hung in his closet. Barely a year ago, his 18 year-old brother blew his head off with a shotgun. Wonderful young men. The daughter of five, found the hanging boy and is possibly scared for life. The mother gets to spend the rest of her life with the what ifs, and blaming herself. Four children who played sports for me, died last year of heroine overdoses, and I promised their parents problems later, if they didn't let up. It's time we accept mediocrity when we realize it's all they can give. We need more teachers who get it. Thanks for understanding! :-)

All I hear in the education field, the supposed people in the know, who I honestly feel never met a child, tell us that we need to increase the rigor, but at what cost. The cost of children being allowed to be children.

Very well said, and totally agreed by me. :-)

thank you for sharing this next installment of Shana's story. It does sound like the curator had something up his sleeve. Why else would it take so long to come back with so little to say?
Enjoy your time with the grandkids!
