This is a beautiful poem full of yearning for that right combination of the right time and place for both "worlds to collide" and for that "magical moonbeam" where the constraints of life doesn't hinder that love.

Jim your couplet rhyme is gg. For it to be aa it would have to be the same rhyme as the first line. It is hard for me to read an un-metered poem or an un-rhymed poem. LOL I'm just wired that way I suppose, however you wrote an endearing poem to your lady-fair. well done. Nancy

Hi Jim; thank you for sharing this lovely poem about love and desire. With each stanza, the poem searches for love, and then in the last couplet give up. (At least that is my interpretation.) Well done,

This heartfelt romantic poem borrows much from the sonnet traditions of both Shakespeare and Petrarch, whil resolutely non conformist to either of them. I don't see anything wrong with that, especially when, like this it works.
