Ha, a wonderful theme for the potlatch challenge, Mav. Indeed you are right. Their fixation on locking someone up and never getting it done, keeps getting curiouser and curiouser. It's like going down the White House rabbit hole coming up empty handed. It reminds me of the old Shakespeare quote, "Guilt spills itself in fearing to be spilt." Perhaps Flynn might be the first to get locked up which would be most ironic given him leading Trump's campaign chants to "lock her up".
The hate-right's trash and bash of the Obamas is the most shocking thing I've ever seen. The insane lies and conspiracy theories they spread around the Internet like a viral disease that people actually believed to be true, says something about psychological health. What disrespect they demonstrated to the office of the presidency and the sanctity of the American constitution. If that isn't racism I'll eat my hat, but I won't have to.
But they speak in code because every conspiracy theorist must believe they know something the rest of the world does not know otherwise it's not a conspiracy is it? Trump's Andrew Jackson and Civil War comment was a dog whistle similar to his riots in Sweden comment at his Florida speech. In the meantime, what is the Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Bridgegate, Chris Christie up to? I think lock 'em is a familiar refrain.
Anyway terrific poem and great subject matter. :))

A lot of locking up needs to happen. However, when a crook seems to become a dictator, stacks the white house with relatives and yes men, justice has little Chance. Hoping those wiser than I can make it happen.

I loved your poem but your notes not only made me dizzy, they made me laugh too. I especially liked: The form actually calls for lines of the same syllable length, but Swinburne couldn't follow his own rules, so I've amended this to approximate. How you guys can make any sense of these rules is totally beyond me. I think filing income tax is simpler. All that aside, I did like your poem...

This is an excellent commentary. Personally, I think we should lock them all up and start over again. Is this really what the founding fathers had in mind?
