Hi Debbie; thank you for your warm review and kind words. For a long time, I honestly believed I had no business trying to pen poems. I write prose! But with each review of a poem, and seeing all of these new poetic forms, I just had to give it a try - I'm so glad I did!

Oh I like this! The "here in my better place" line made me smile. I interpreted it to mean here / now is the better place. I like the quote as well. And the kaleidoscope image is cool.

I still need to try this form... on my ever growing to do list!

I like the opposition in the first two lines of the quatrain. I wonder, now, if I hadn't been looking so hard and stood still for a minute, the right man might have come into my life instead of the one I settled for so long ago. The barricaded heart is a lonely one. The quote leads the mind down many paths and your supporting words are the perfect compliment to them. Well done. - Wendy

A person whose been on a long journey has a lot to tell, or teach. It's not such a bad things to have experience: good or bad. However, what one does afterward is where it is interesting or not. Only you can be that judge. Great news.
