A well-structured loop where the repetitions give a lilt to the overall effect, enhancing your chosen rhythm. It seems that the business of proselytizing is hard on the feet!

Hi; thank you so much for the lovely review. I once saw a Mormon kid, fresh on his mission. His shoes were brand new and he was in pain by noon. I saw him two weeks later, and he showed me how worn his shoes were. I couldn't get it out of my head, so it was part of the poem. Thanks for your time to read,

A well written loop poem Patty. I have always wondered everyone always depicts Jesus Christ to look that image in your post how do they know that is what he looked like?

Hi Dip; since there are no pictures from the days of Christ - I think artists rely on the shroud of Turin. He was depicted as having a beard. If you look closely at the paintings and drawings, his eyes vary in color along with the length of his hair.
He was probably a lot more middle eastern in looks, and his nose wasn't quite like its depicted - I think the artist gives us their concept of a beautiful man,

So very beautiful, my friend.
I love loop poetry. It looks fun, but I know it must be hard.
What a wonderful subject and message.

This is my favorite line: "Praise the one and true Savior,
Savior, to whom our hands raise." ~ such a nice image and feeling of warmth!

Take care,
Rhonda

Mustang Patty, your loop poem is great and VERY special, especially because it is about our Perfect Exampler, Jesus Christ: The Good News is such an appropriate subject to write about. I too love this Good News and I love going out in the ministry to spread this Good News. I am so happy to see the importance of this-- is posted today.

We all know that while Jesus was here on the earth he set out on his ministry bringing the Good News to everyone who would listen. He also commanded that his disciples continue to spread the Good News.
(Matthew 28:19 & 20)

In being Christians we want to continue to spread this Good News as commanded by Jesus and follow his steps closely.

1 Peter 2:21: In fact to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving a model for you to follow his steps closely.

Jesus also informed us in the scriptures, in answer to his Disciples who asked him, while sitting on the Mount of Olives, " Tell us when will these things be and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of this system of things? (Matthew 24: 3) One of the signs Jesus gave to them in response was about the Good News.

Matthew 24:14: And this Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the Nations, and then the end will come.

Thank you so much for this morning though. Today is usually one of my mornings that I go out in the ministry but today I have a bible study with my 14 year old and I must assist him in a spiritual assignment. Have a beautiful day and I hope you do well in the contest.

This is wonderful and a great read. Only one line bothers me. The wearing out of new shoes seems to take a detour from the balance. Good luck in the contest.

thank you for reading and reviewing. The line about wearing out new shoes was supposed to simulate the cost of spending the day walking to spread the news.

I understood that part, but it seems pompous indicating they are NEW

I understood that, but it seems pompous to spread the News in new shoes. Personally, I think they should be old, worn out shoes. Just my opinion.
