This is a nicely constructed loop faith poem that rhymes well. Flow is easy. My one suggestion would be to go back in and edit the contrast of the font. The gray font is too similar to the background color which makes it hard to read. The poem itself is wonderful. Marilyn

Hi Marilyn; I went and adjusted the font so it should be easier to read. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement,

An excellent devotional filled with praise and a deep message of forgiveness.
Great pace and clear imagery.
We must give praise lest the rocks cry out.
Wonderful

Absolute truth throughout this masterfully crafted piece you have given to your reviewing fans my friend. Jesus, the ultimate love story. What a sacrifice he made for us all.

Your loop is as described but I always feel that the form should go further and link not onle one stanza to the next but the last line back to the first the maintain an unbroken chain that loops right around, but that's just me and you have carried out the instructions to the letter and added your own creativity to boot.

Hi Jim; thank you for dropping by. I can agree with you about maintaining the loop throughout the poem, and maybe the next one I will try that. Have a great day,

Hi Patty, a lovely poem and a great entry to the contest. Each stanza reads well, makes sense and does not sound contrived to meet the requirements of this form of poetry. Rhyming in order throughout. I have never done a loop poem so I am no expert. One thing I wondered - does the loop not have to continue throughout the poem. That is, does the last word in a stanza not have to be the first word of the next stanza? I have not read the guidelines as you have done, so you must be right. Good luck in the contest with this lovely poem. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Hi Dorothy; thank you for your thoughtful review. When I went to shadowpoetry.com and looked at their directions, it talked about four line stanzas, and it didn't appear that the loop had to continue throughout the poem - just within the stanza.

This form works well for this message. Today is another day to become closer to Jesus. He did so much for us. This seems like it would be a hard form to write in.

Good luck in the contest.

Keep writing

Wonderful words and message to share... The great commission indeed! You worked the rhyming in perfectly. I'm impressed you added an extra challenging aspect to this competition. Way to go :)
The 2nd to last line stuck out a little to me in terms of sentence structure. I played around with it a bit. I see your challenge, given that it has to stay at 7 syllables... so maybe, if you like it, [Embrace His love, given free]. Of course I could've just been reading it off & it's perfect just the way it is :) It is a terrific poem & I really enjoyed your writing style!!! Blessings, AmyJo

Hi AmyJo; I am so glad you liked this poem. I went and looked at the second to last line. I may change it. I like your phrase. Your thoughtful review was thorough and concise, and I appreciate it.
