Hi Patty,

I don't think I've ever seen a monchielle poem before. What an interesting form. Pretty pups are always fun to write about. Thank you for sharing all of the specifics of the form in your author's notes. I always appreciate learning new styles. You appear to have followed the specifications to a T. Great job!

Kim

Hi Kim; thank you for your kind and warm review of my monchielle. I found the form through one of Sandra du Plessis's posts. It looked like fun, so I tried it,

Boy girl! You certainly challenge yourself on the styles of poetry you accomplish. Love the topic (love, love, love my dog Hope) and certainly is a lively rendition of a day with our furry children.

I'm not very good at poetic forms, but I read through this poem, it's light themed, the kind of read that fits with life and leisure. People can relate to pets and mischief, the joys and humor of interaction with furry parts of the family. The rhyming scheme was simple, and playful.

thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. This was a challenge to meet the requirements of the poetic form, but once I got going, it was really fun to do the 'puzzle' and get everything to fit.

Patty,

This is a "feel good" poem. I smiled from start to finish. You described these pretty pups so well -- their behavior, their love, their movement, their cuteness.

You are quite lucky that they don't eat your shoes.

Thank you for sharing this delightful poem.

thank you for stopping by to read and review this poem about my dogs. They do have a good time, and tend to have me wrapped around their....uh, paws.

Indeed these two are very pretty. I love the way your poem bounds along with all the energy of a playful puppy.

I do believe that dogs spend a lot of time planning their next crime.

Lovely write Patty

A fine poem, Patty, and they look like they'd be a blast. If you're anything like me, pets are people, and I enjoy the heck out of them, and anybody who doesn't love animals is a zero as a person!

Yay!! You read one of my poems. Yes, I truly believe my pets are people in dog suits. The dog suits make them humble and loving. They are the best. Thank you for dropping by,

Sorry I haven't read your stuff earlier, but I tend to avoid reading a long time because my eyes don't play well together. Poems and stuff are okay, but it just slips my mind to read something!

Living in a senior community where almost each household have dogs, I can imagine how pretty pups indeed make your day! A very enjoyable read with excellent rhyming scheme in simple down to earth vocabulary; thank you for sharing my friend.

thank you for stopping by to read and review. I appreciate your comment about 'down to earth vocabulary.' I was taught to never use a five-dollar word when a dime one would do just fine,

I enjoyed your poem about the pretty puppies. I have three of them. And yes sometimes they make a mess I once came home to a gift of dog vomit on my pillow.
Thank you for sharing

This work has reached the exceptional level

Very energetic, lots of activity going on, shared through the great imagery you have provided for the reader. Great flow, fast reading, and great rhyming.
Funny thing is, I just wrote a poem on 2 dogs, brother and sister, that I met on a stroll yesterday. I am just going to post it but I needed another dollar and your poem is the first one I ran across to read. Great minds........
