Your poem looks like a tea cup on a saucer, I believe it is my first read of one, your's is cute because it resonates the actual name of the form, I'm guessing it can be about anything just so long as you get the shape right?

Yes, indeed. I just felt like making the subject a teacup. (It made sense, and I had just dusted my collection.) Have fun with it!

My, what a beautiful teacup!! I collect old teacups, and really have no where to display them, so I set a different one out each month to use. This is a darling poem! Blessings....

thank you! I have several antique cups, saucers, and even a beautiful teapot. They are one of my treasures, and they sit in my tall curio. I would love to see yours - maybe write a poem?

This is a beautiful poem. Shaped just like a teapot without the handle. Thank you for sharing it.
My favorite line is:
filled to china brim

PS: Have a good weekend!

This certainly captures the the gestalt and zeitgeist of the whole tea/china/saucer conundrum quite succinctly. I always love poems that animate inanimate objects, and this is one of them. High tea personified!

Thank you so much for a wonderful review. I thought it was clever to write a teacup poem about a teacup. This antique cup and saucer is one of my prized possessions and I'm sure it was surprised to come out of the curio to pose for a picture!

What a difficult subject to write a poem about, but you have done it so nicely. What a shame to fill such a nice cup with tea though. A good definition of a nice tea cup.
Best wishes.

I think I have only seen this form once before and it was a long time ago.

I like this poem especially the last line.

Great 'N' alliteration with nice/neat.

I had not heard of a teacup poem before. This is a lovely form. I have teacups from my mother that I cherish and will pass on to my children.

Very nicely done.

Blessings
Janet

Hi there, I've only come across the form once before and I think you've done very well with this one. I see why it's called that. It has the shape of a teacup. All best. Ulla:))

Hi again; this was a fun little write. I was inspired to write a 'teacup poem' about a teacup. I love and cherish this antique piece.

Oh what a beautiful poem and a beautiful tea cup to match. So nice to know that there is a catogory just for teacup poems too? That's pretty amazing.

Hey Chloe; I originally took these notes from someone that had posted a 'teacup' poem. I went and looked at Poetry Dances today, and it is supposed to be a 'definition poem' in the shape of a teacup. I decided to take matters in my own hands, and I wrote a teacup poem about a teacup. (giggle)

A beautiful poem and a beautiful teacup. I imagine each time you use it you think of your son. My favorite teacup will be passed on to my son.

thank you for sharing your thoughts about my teacup and telling me a bit about you and your son. Teacups are one of those collectibles that are full of beauty, and I never mind dusting and cleaning them,
