Patty,
I admired you for writing in various poetic forms. Although I am unfamiliar with some of them, you seem to execute them well.
I love the personification of the teacup. You took an inanimate object and brought it to life. I love the innovation and cleverness.
Thank you for sharing.

thank you so much for your kind words. I'm having so much fun experimenting with these different poetic forms and coaxing the words to fit into the right syllable count.

That's a gorgeous plate. Antique. My parents had Old Country Roses by Royal Albert. My mother died and the dishes disappeared. I enjoyed your poem. I like the irony between subject and photo and poetic format. LOL. Nice work. Good luck in the contest. Happy Earth Day! Happy Saturday!

Hi RG - thank you for reading so many pieces of mine. I am working through the list of different poetic forms I've come across on the site - if an author is generous enough to give the requirements of the form, I catalog them. I'm trying different kinds of poetry to expand my skill.

I have never heard of a tea cup poem. I love learning all the new ways to write words in an expressive or descriptive manner. Thank you for another little writing lesson.

thank you for your kind review. I found the tea cup poem in my reading on the site. I thought it was a clever idea, along with the other 'shape forms' and thought I would try it. What better subject for a teacup poem than an actual tea cup?

This is one of those pieces that amaze me with the imagination. In a few words, you brought that teacup to life. These are the first poems I've read of yours, and I look forward to reading the many types of poetry you write.

Again, you have wowed me with your review. I do not consider myself a poet - I write a lot more prose. However, as I read the work of others, I build on a list of poetic forms I would like to try. You have seen some of the pieces this has brought about. I'm so glad you enjoy my work,

This is a fine teacup poem that resonates with me because I drink tea. Your poem personifies a teacup that is vivid and has personality. I thought of Mrs Potts and her son Chip from Beauty and the Beast. Thank you for sharing.

The image is beautiful and lends itself well to the words. I thoroughly like this and can understand how it came to be "recognized." Your writing stands out to me and I look forward to reading more.
