Wow, so the actual poem should look like a teacup. I say you really did the trick. You wrote a poem about having tea, while it looking like a teacup. Well done.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this little poem. I was being whimsical when I came across the poetic form, and decided to write about a teacup with a teacup. Enjoy your next cup of tea with some smile for me,

This is very elegant and perfect for the 5,4,3,2,1,5 poem. You represented waiting for tea very well, but also kept it simple. Best of luck to you and thanks for sharing.

Original poem, portaying a tea cup. I like it, short, yet the words capture the cup.
Beautiful artwork joined. It makes me want to drink a cup of tea myself.
Well done!

Kind regards

Sarah

I love the cup in the photo. Beautiful gift. I'm sure you must cherish it.

I like the feel of the poem. The format seemed interesting, and meeting the requirements must have been a challenge. You did it nicely.

I may have to play with this teacup poem.

Marla - you should play with this format - it is a lot of fun. I just thought it would be whimsical to write a teacup poem about a teacup! Yes, I do cherish this beautiful cup. He bought me two sets that he found in an antique shop. They are sitting in a special place in my curio.
Thank you for reading and following my work,

Wow. I've seen some very beautiful fancy teacups, but most of the English style I've seen (as opposed to oriental) only have the pattern on the outside (just an observation, I'm no teacup afficionado). Lovely poem, lovely picture and you made the visual effect as well. Great job, Craig

Interesting poem. You give the pretty lady such character. I saw Beauty and The Beast last night and I am reminded of the teacup Mrs. Potts and her son, Chip, although your china lady is much prettier. I don't have anything to suggest for improvement. Well done!

Hi Patty,

Your teacup poem about waiting for a cup of tea (how appropriate) seems to be in perfect form. What a cute idea. The picture of the antique teacup from your son is beautiful, too. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Kim - thank you for reading and reviewing this piece. I love this tea cup - mostly because its from my son, but also because it is so pretty and ornate. I'm glad you liked the poem,

this is a really cute poem and the picture is perfect.
For years I wouldn't drink tea, didn't like that the odor never matched the taste; but it always seemed better if there was a fancy cup and saucer to drink from.
Tea cups and saucers, how 'neat' can it be!

thank you for stopping by to read and review. I'm glad you liked my tea cup poem about a tea cup! My grandmother used to give me weak tea because I wasn't allowed to drink coffee. I think the comfort I derive from tea now started in her kitchen.
