Thanks. I am troubled with the terrorist, the unending war and homegrown violence by police and citizens. I appreciate your comments and ranking. Best wishes and regards.

This is a wonderful poem.
The title, 'Humanity Weeps', is the absolute truth.
It's a touchy subject for many.
You brought up a great point.
--It seems as though the past is creeping up into the present. I don't if the police officers are afraid and react because they're in fear of their own lives or if it's something much worse. As a mother of two teenage boys, I'm trying with everything in me, to teach them right from wrong and to respect their elders and comply with law enforcement.
The author's notes are very much appreciated.- Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your poem.
Good luck with your future writing!

Thanks Nikki. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me. It is the mother that builds the foundation of children's character and I know you are doing just that. It is hard to be a policeman in a society where right and wrong is mixed up with ideology and Gun Culture. I don't have the answer but my heart bleeds when a police person is assassinated and bleeds twice as much when a citizen is brutalized by men in uniform. This Friday will be the day of mourning for the death of Jesus and after two millenniums humanity is still struggling to find a peaceful way to live together. Best wishes.
