You have encapsulated all that Easter and God's love for us is about.

He loved us and came to save us, but sadly it looks like we have managed to forget all that. Christmas is for expensive gifts and Easter for chocolate eggs. How pathetic is that

This is very beautiful Patty on God's love. Well done my friend. I've been so behind on reviews. I'm starting at the top, so any older writes you've done I'll get too.
Have a great day Patty. ~Kerry~

A living God known for His sacrifice; He saves every heart committing from sins; His sacrifice made Him First at every heart, I do feel His presence at the words I read.

This is a wonderfully presented, well worded poem for Holy Week, Good Friday, and the upcoming Easter Holiday as well, Patty.
No greater sacrifice has ever been made for the good of all than the one Jesus made for us.
It is one that can never, nor WILL ever, be duplicated in it's broad scope or it's magnitude.
God bless, and thanks for sharing.
~Dean

Hi Dean; thank you for the review. I am deep in my ritual of watching movies about Him and remembering His sacrifice. I'm glad I could share this love,

Have you ever seen Mel Gibson's 'Passion of the Christ', Patty?
I can't watch that show without crying like a little girl no matter how many times I've seen it.
    You're welcome.~Dean :)

Yes - I have. Was lucky enough to see it in the theater 3x in 2004. I own it on DVD, and I usually watch it on Good Friday. I usually cry and reflect for the rest of the day. ~p~

Me too. I also own Mel's film on dvd and blu-ray disc. As well as The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Ten Commandments, and Noah's Ark (1928), starring Dolores Costello as Miriam, Paul McAllister, as Noah, and Myrna Loy as a slave girl.
All are great films and all are watched on Easter weekend.~Dean

Wow - Noah's Ark? I haven't seen that in years. I need to see if I can find it on DVD. Thank you for sharing, ~p~

This is a WONDERFUL poem.
Each line has a syllable count: 5-3-5
Just reading this, brings tears to my eyes.
The thought of Jesus dying on a cross at Calvary and rising three days later, makes me jump for joy.
Magnificent artwork: The image of Christ is MARVELOUS!
The author's notes speak LOUD!! They are greatly appreciated.- Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your poem.
Good luck with your future writing!

A very well-written Lune poem of God's sacrifice to sent His son to shed His blood for our sins and safe us from the pits of hell. He rose triumphantly from the death and sits with God at the throne.

A lune for Easter. Displayed centrally like this it is indeed reminiscent of the he crucifix, perhaps nearer in shape to the saltire or st Andrew's cross but that too was another sacrifice.

A loving sacrifice indeed and we tend to lose sight of what He did for us. So many Christian holidays seem to have become commercial exploits and we need reminders like this spiritual poem. Thank you.

A perfect Easter poem. While Christmas gets most of the attention it was his death and victory over the grave that gives us salvation and the hope of eternal life.
Wonderful work!

Hi Michael; thank you so much. I too think that Easter should be a bigger celebration. I spend the entire week before Easter in reflection, and then I watch my favorite movies of the season; King of Kings, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Passion. I hope your Easter is filled with love,
