Easter in a nutshell. It is by Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection that Christians are saved. You put it well in this short poem of yours which is, of course, most appropriately presented with the image of the Crucifixion.

First the artwork all theses years I feel the same every time I see Him on the cross

Well stated poem with so much meaning.
Reminds of my adage "Cast your vote for Jesus. Keep your eyes on Calvary" and everything else will take care of itself.

I believe, or was taught as a child that without repentance/confession, we are still subject to the sins we commit every day and if you have not embraced Christ and taken him into your heart... you are in trouble.
That said, I enjoyed your 5-3-5 spiritual poem friend, being raised in a strong religious family- Christ on the cross always stirs the emotions... always!
