Same thing here. What about "we," not "He?" What happens if there is no sacrifice, no lamb on the altar spurting it's blood in the cup we are all to drink from. How do I score a poem that uses the terrible emotions these events evoke? Why would a poet want to use those powerful images if not to his or her own advantage -- the opposite of Christ's suffering? am I right? He suffered without recompense, any sort of "scoring" of his...act.
