I love your presentation. The art is perfect for your verse. I like the way you used color here and your clever word play. This piece is memorable and could be used with other photos or art interchanably yet the art you chose is perfect. Thank you for sharing your work.

Thank you for defining the renso form and clarifying the use of metaphors and similes in contemporary haiku. I liked your jealous "lover" simile and perfectly parallel artwork. Cheers- Joan

You have a great third line, Gypsy, stunning picture and a great haiku overall.I haven't had much to do with modern haiku, but I found a surprisingly humanistic influence in this one. But it quite grabbed me. Brevity is still present, and I found your notes helpful, Giddy

Thank you for sharing this lovely haiku. The presentation was well done, and the words of your poem met the requirements of the renso technique. The two ideas are very clear - red vines and green envy.

Your use of the colors red and green really work well. Red shows the passion, and green, the envy. The artwork fits the poem really well. The vines wrapping around suggest a choking, a feeling of captivity. Interesting work with the subject. It really creates a mood of speculation about whether it's the plants envying the subject's beauty. judi

Oh, wee! Now this haiku definitely tickles the senses and makes an old man remember when. When a young man could imagine being a gentle vine, and ever so slowly, inch by inch, cuddled and caressed the lovely damsel with no reason for distress. Thanks for sharing another fine haiku. :-)

Gypsy,
Beautiful poem! The photo is perfect! Maybe some music to set the tone. I don't know how jealousy sounds, though.
I hope you will be teaching a course in November--I get Rental Rebate in October and can take classes at that time. I can't wait--fun!! :P
