There has been a rush of philosophical thought in the poetry this morning Vance, and this adds to it. Yes it's why the prophet prophesies, the doctor heals, the novelist novels, and the poet writes, God provides, compels the artist. Not everybody listens properly, but that's what sets us apart. Have you had a baby? All that's missing from this poem is the screaming and cursing! I love the idea of giving birth to music. I love 'fair or ugly' when we give birth we love the child unconditionally. Enjoyed the birth of this poem. MaggieF
