You did a great job with the prompt. All lines/syllables are correct. The picture shows the frustration your words describe.
Good job & best wishes in the contest. Jan

yes indeed, the health care stoppage was the biggest nail so far in his presidency; you captured the major event of Trump's first 60-days in this succinct write; very well done, thank you for sharing and good luck!

Rare for me to bestow a six star accolade upon a piece of poetry. Even rarer for seventeen syllables, but your last line was exceptional and said it all. Great job!

In my opinion, I am disappointed his first 60 days have been anything but smooth, as these concise and transparent words assert - although I am not a President Trump fan, I attempt to maintain my optimism and hope all parties will dispense with the nonsense and work together for the benefit of us all - fully compliant with the prompt...

You've captured the main elements of the first 60 days with the lion roaring but being more sound than sustenance and the executive order being stopped by the court and health care reform being "killed" by his own party. A sad poem for a sad time.

certainly "clever" as intended, I'm sure and with such a restriction of brevity in this poetic style, the photo and sharply delivered Tanka, gets the job done as well as possible. I won't comment on the political content as the entire subject makes me I'll. HIS GRAYNESS

So true, so true. He bit off more than he could chew. This is a tragedy of his own making. This is a somber poem as Trump goes down in history as breaking the biggest campaign promise since Bush's "No new taxes" pledge. I do not know how or if he recovers. A couple of more huge defeats early in his term he may become a ineffective President. Your poem is more an elegy for him.
Thank you for sharing and I wish you success in the contest.

Well, I'm for Trump's effort to do what is best for the American people. Factually, Obamacare is failing and will collapse very soon. So far dems as well as some repubs have been obstinate to fix it and/or agree on something else. Obstinacy will help no one, especially those who need healthcare (all of us). The fact that Congress is NOT on Obamacare but has its own special luxury insurance should tell us something. It's okay for us, but not for them. Politicians treat themselves pretty good, don't they? Spot on syllable count. The healthcare didn't go through, but I'm so glad for the things he is doing like putting God back first in this country, fighting ISIS, and fighting against sex trafficking. There have already been over 1,500 arrests of pimps and traffickers. It's refreshing to have a president who can call terrorists exactly what they are.
