If this poem doesn't win the contest then I can't imagine the one that will top it! BIG TOP it even! I'm going to be lame and tell you that I wish I had a six as I sit here and can't imagine why I am even out by the midway point of the week. Yes, I had to double check, it is Wednesday. That is how my week is going, how about you? lol
This poem is fantastic in so many places. The rhyme and the urgency of the meter that just won't let you look away from the page. But, yet in it's own particular style, like free verse ran into an ice cream truck and put delicious goodness all over my page!
I know it is love gone wrong but it is poetry Oh So Right! What a great self portrait, is it recent? ;) Ok, you know I couldn't resist, love the Baboon pic though. This one is so fantastic that I know it is going to win! I can't give you the six you deserve but I will make a mental note to watch for it in the voting booth. It is the least I can do. :)
Somewhere in here Lewis Carroll met Emily Dickinson and they had a wild fling at your expense in your brain!

of my sad way" Reminds me of a song you posted with one of your works a while ago. " Their coming to take me away Ha Ha"

Yup, off the deep end with this one. I kept reading and reading and started to wonder if there was going to be an end. Once I got there I completely forgot where it all started. But I give you 5 for actually getting me to read this from beginning to end despite not really knowing where it started or what it meant. I guess that is the charm of so much of your writing. I often wonder if you know the 'why' of why you wrote something too. Now I need to take a nap, I am exhausted.
