Hi Patty, I love your senryu about the connection you have with your son. It's a wonderful joy for any mum to share a close and trusting relationship with their child. It is that unconditional love that can only be found between mother and child. Perhaps also between father and child.. I can't speak from experience on that one... I have only one child, my son and I treasure the beautiful connection we share also. Great words with shared emotion.. thanks for the journey Patty..

I enjoyed reading your senryu. You had all the lines and syllables correct and a lovely photo of your son. It's lovely when your son is also your best friend. Unfortunately it does not happen enough these days.

Lovely tribute to your son. The connection between parent and child is so deep that it certainly transcends time. But time on earth does "fly" so swiftly and a child grows up so fast!

You are very lucky to have a child of yours as a person who seems to be very close to you....I have that with my daughter and your poem is one of love & that, too, of a young person here who seems very happy....as it does appear in this photo....And expressed to us how you feel about your son in this Senryu.
