Awwww, this is great, Gitana. I simply love it. It is so simple in all it's beauty. I don't seem to be able to catch up these days. I'm always behind. We have so much work on the land this year and with the ongoing build of our house. Un besito. Ulla:)))

Hi Gypsy, I like the tranquil countryside filled with a mass of lavender plants. The scent would be overwhelmingly lemony, sweet. Your haiku is made of 5/8/4 syllables for each line. I just know that being in the countryside is very peaceful. Lavender is summer time plants.

Lady Blue,
Fantastic photo and a most excellent haiku. I like that you make the reader (in this case moi aka Grasshopper) infer the silent sentinels are them thar big ole trees. What, pray tell, is the lavender blossoms? Is it indeed lavender? Well done, GBR.
Your forever faithful scribe,
Grasshopper

I get the image of tall statuesque shapes in a field of lavender. I can almost feel my allergies acting up just envisioning it, lol. I know many find the scent of lavender very relaxing and soothing. I like the colour, from afar of course.
A very pretty haiku

I am enamored of alliteration and appreciated this hearty dose. I admired the scene you captured and the picture you selected to reinforce it. Thanks for teaching us about sashie haiku as well. Smiles- Joan

The silent sentinals stand guard over the field and there is peace in the field because the sentinels are there. The implication on a broader level is that guardians of all kinds keep us safe.

Oh, listen to the birds sing, whistling in the coming spring, with summer on its way soon. Beautiful sunny-day fields of bright purple, calming lavender to help us relax. At Dusk, the falling sky turns to darkness. Time to rest and repair those weary cells. Then, to be awakened again by those glorious sights and sounds that lulled us to sleep last night. Great job. :-)

Why is it that I can feel the motions of the style it's like it's common sense in away using our third eye or minds eye. Here's one not sure I got it correct.
Bumble bees diving
Onto people's skins stinging
Silence survives all.
