Oh how beautiful and I can see it and the memories of one more joyous summer having ended. I will always remember those joys. So very well done!

Playgrounds are bare, no laughter and smile there...the wind pushes the swings on a rainy day. It is a very lovely written haiku. I picture those empty swings and children sitting quietly in the classrooms. Autumn leaves dancing in the rain. Well done, my friend. With love, Ella

Nice Haiku about autumn and the start of school. This poem has nice flow. Like the word choice. Great vision of an empty swing on the schoolyard. Thanks for sharing.

You just get better as you ascend to the ranks of the most prolific and talented here on FS! Sorry no 6 packs left, this deserves more stars! Your ability to paint a picture with words is almost uncanny. The haunting picture of the empty swing is relieved by your last line, in which the swing will soon be filled with laughing, boisterous children.
Great work,
irish

Hi Indiana Irish, this is a good haiku with lines one and two interconnecting as they should and your third line is a really good satori - it reflects on the previous two lines. Well done. Warm regards Dorothy x

This is a wonderful haiku. When I was young I always enjoyed the beginning of the school year, in part because of the playground equipment. Patricia

Aww, this is a really good one. The parks do get very empty in autumn, they look so lonely without the kids in them playing.
Great satori, off to school they go.

Wow, wow, wow! This is an excellent autumn hauki with a concrete image of the empty swing swaying in the autumn breeze because school has begun. I am very thrilled to have read this because you show what could be achieved in so few words. Thank you for sharing your contribution to the book.
