'Thank you' is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, and understanding. Thank for an inspirational poem.

This is a well written poem on the dire straights the world has found itself in. You have given the answer at the end - the only way to fix things is to turn to Him.

This is a very reasonable prayer I'd say and I hope it gets answered, as one of little faith I have to say I doubt that, but I wish you well anyway.
You have chosen to use the archaic form of second person singular at the end of the line "thyself" and there is nothing wrong with that particularly in this sort of poem but you need to stick to that form all the way through. For the most part you do but you have two instances of the more modern form "you" in the first stanza. These need bringing into line as shown below in [ ]
Dear Lord, would (you) [thou] reveal thyself
in ways we'll understand?
Could (you) [thou] make known some way to share
a universal plan?
This then leaves us only with the last line of the poem:
"of faith, thank you-Amen" The correct version here would be "we thank thee - Amen" but this would damage the scansion. I would suggest the line could read:
"of faith, our thanks-Amen" but you might well have a better idea.

On paths we trod to know thy will
we wandered far astray.
With many faiths and facts unknown,
we stumbled on the way.
Show us a way to clear our minds,
from doubts and fears and then
we can become a brotherhood
of faith, thank you-Amen;
Amen to you my friend you have written what so few of us have the ability to do. I adore it well done to you and praise the lord love Meia :)

If only... it hasn't worked yet, so this may never happen whilst greed, power and fame such strong incentives for people to keep this human race on the same path. And as you say, so much in the name of religion or faith. We have never learned from past mistakes and history, it would seem... but, it would be good if it could happen. Warmest regards, Marijke :o)

Hello jaybird1, Amen. I said it, and I'll say it over and over again. A timely poem. Of special note:
Too long we've wrestled earthly greed
for money, power and fame.
Too long we've slain our fellow man,
quite often in thy name.
(Too often, indeed.)
With many faiths and facts unknown,
we stumbled on the way.
(Listening and understand could be the solution. If only Man would listen before its too late.)
Great commentary and spiritual writing. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

A great write, loving the sentiments, not sure that â??understandâ?? rhymes with â??planâ??? You could improve the rhyming here with maybe change the last line to 'a universal common land'. It's just a suggestion and not meant to offend, great work, love Dolly x

Amen.
This is a well written poem, both in form and content. I too wish the people of the world would wake up. Love and compassion and giving are our way out of these greedy dark days.
Prayer for Goodness to light our way.
