This is a fascinating chapter. Sheba talks nicer and seems more concerned for Piper than I think she probably is.
There is good tension and dialogue, leaving the reader anxious for more.
I have not read any other chapters yet, but I must say I'm a bit surprised that this is a YA. It seems more a story for middle grade, to me. But it seems, from this chapter, to be adventurous and and exciting. I enjoyed it.

Thank you for the encouraging comments, pome lover. I am shooting for 14 year olds so you may be right about middle grade. Different websites make the division between middle grade and Y.A. at different ages so I'm not sure. Right now, I am just enjoying writing the story. I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed reading.
