HI Dos, I am so sorry I missed this one....I haven't been on to much at all....it hurts to read...today is the first day I have felt like reading at all...and this virus thinks we are friends...it won't leave...but it seems to hang on...it's crazy Linda....every one I talk to has it...but I do feel better...Wednesday I have to go in on that other thing...not sure if they will do surgery until I am over some of this...who knows...sigh....

I think writers tend to write about their lives...it's what goes in their heads at the time sweet girl....why can't there be a time in our lives when everything in our lives are content???...finally in the right direction???....with no interruption's ....very well written Dos....and love your picture....love ya you....Uno....xxoo

My friend, my friend . . . I so pray that you will get relief from all your ills. Doesn't seem fair that there are several at once . . . one at a time is MORE than enough. Routines are beginning to jell around this house. I am now using LOGIC rather than all FEELINGS to find a peaceful place within this tri-lationship. I'm finally feeling that there is hope for us all! I will keep you in my prayers. Kathy and I still attend Sunday services at MCC in Gainesville plus other activities with the church. Sometimes Charley attends, also. Love you my friend! Hi Linda, well written free verse describing the myriad of ways a writer finds his material that he intends to write about. Not always pretty, but even the nasty, if well written is a good read. Nice the line 'where have all those flowers gone? ' which you trail off with at the end. A line from the song. Very nice read. Good to see your name up there - well done. Warm regards Dorothy x

Thank you, Dorothy. I have no idea where this poem came from. I woke up one morning with the first four lines in my head. The rest flowed from the pen. Bless you! Linda

Now... you see?
This is precisely what I have been trying to explain to everyone, yet they still want to read warm and fuzzy, sentimental drivel.
The world today is a bed of roses, alright.
A BIG bed of roses with millions of sharp thorns.

Kudos to you for having the intestinal fortitude to say so in your poetry, Linda.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Dean: thank you for reading and for your comments. I have no idea where this idea came from . . . I woke up one morning with the first four lines in my head. Must be a really little Linda in there, running around in my brain picking up a word or idea here and there! LOL Keep well, my friend. Linda

This was fantastic..a virtual six
Bumble bees are dying out in some parts of the world and we need these wonderful creatures to give our flowers life....your words paint the dreary picture nature is becoming by the interference of mankind.
Have a lovely day

I couldn't agree more! Where have all the flowers gone.... Excellent commentary and poetics. Your heartfelt and well-written piece tells it like it is, not how we want it to be. I love the title and the metaphor of daisies representing "positive poetry". Thank you for sharing your talent and wisdom. We all need to read your poem.
Take care, Jesse

Hi froend we are all asking the one great question. Once the world was beautiful decked with beautiful flowers, now the garlands are made withdusty stones. Some are trying to salvage , but as long as the greed stays and as there are people whose aim is only to feed on others hard work, the flowers will go.

You have painted the picture well of a world in chaos and full of destruction. Great description, and imagery. Good use of alliteration.

Oh, so lovely, so tragic. I wonder if this is what they think, 'where have all the flowers gone?' and the rainbows...promises in the sky. Lovely Miss Linda, blessings...

A sense of doom here when the world comes to an end and there are no pretty flowers, life as we know it has all gone with world destruction! Let's hope it never happens. A resonating and poignant poem, love Dolly x

Some glaring truths in your siccinctly scribed poem Linda, I don't think any of us like to see the harsh realities of the world at large, the horror of human affliction is very real, I have been personally by it at times, but I can escape back to my closeted haven. Well done, very strong articulation to your emphatic post Linda, blessings, Roy
