You hit the nail on the head in your very last sentence. The free world isn't free. It requires the price of admission which is to enter the country legally. For those who love America, this is a small price to pay.

First, thank you for your unwavering support, Marilyn! Second, I know we agree that it would be futile for either of us to convert the other on to his or her political views. For example, i could point out three or four flaws in what you've said, but I won't.
Sincerely, I will empathize wth you, when you finally become disillusioned with our President. I hope you believe that.

It's not the person, Don. It's the philosophy. We are coming from different points of view. I will never be liberal and you will never be conservative. Our candidates are just the human beings representing those two different philosophies.

Marilyn, Donald Trump has no political philosophy. By his own admission, he's a pragmatist. I'm sure you know, over the years he's been back and forth between the two parties. This time, he chose to run as a Republican because he wanted to clobber Hillary. As you also know, many Republicans, conservatives and neocons, deny that Trump is Republican of any stripe. If he had worked with others to come up with a platform, he would be a more effective president now, and Democrats wouldn't be looking forward to the 2018 election.
The party will get back on its feet when he's gone, i believe, and the country will have a healthier and more traditional political rivalry.

He speaks my language, Don--common sense. I love him. Politicians promise the moon and never deliver. They just feather their own nest. Our country desperately needs term limits for the House and the Senate. These positions were not meant to be lifetime jobs at the public trough. Trump is a populist and I tell you what--he sure is popular with me. One thing I know for sure, he loves America. Thank God.
