I enjoyed reading this very well written haiku about summertime dreams and I think being in that hammock would be a great place to be and have them. I enjoyed reading and reviewing. Blessings, Teri

Oh, those birds singing, the hammock swaying in the breeze, and I can just imagine my fat butt floating as it sways. "Bottle of wine, fruit of the vine, when you gonna let me get sober?" Never I hope. Thanks for another fine poem. I don't actually, drink, other than for a sip or two here and there to be sociable and have something in my hand at a function. Great job. :-)

Very nice and soothing, Dean. A pleasure to take a break from the morbid for a change. The expression, "Spring has nearly sprung..." reminds me of Nipsey Russell's mini poem - "Spring has sprung and Fall has fell, now here in July, it's hotter than --- usual."

What a lovely thought! I like that the dreams of summer beckon you and that they "melt the miles" of time (distance in space and time collapsed). More snow predicted but I can dream of summer, too.

Hi Dean,
What a wonderful presentation. That font is striking and adds something to the airy feel of your haiku, all aflutter with anticipation. I think you've found yourself a winner here. How often is that feeling of anticipation even better than the actuality of the real thing?
Great work!

Hello Dean, A great summertime haiku. Anticipation is such a wonderful word. It gives the writer much leverage. Seventeen syllables of summertime fun. A pleasure to read. Terrific complementary artwork choice. This poem made me smile. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

This is one of your beast ones in my opinion, DeanO. The presentation fits the text so well. Even the slight movement of the hammock is impressing.
Good offering for the book, my friend. Bob

This is a wonderfully written Haiku. I loved it. You once again presented us with a perfect package' poem, artwork, and sound effects. Harley, my dachshund, is searching for the birds.

I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my haiku, Barbara.
At least it's not horror, right?
Enjoy your week.

I really do like this one - it is different from most of what we have. I like the human aspect of it and it certainly has a truth about it. Well done, my friend
