As an ice cream fanatic, I enjoyed reading your poem. It makes the reader feel good. "Midsummer's Night's Dream" is a fitting last line, ice cream certainly is a wonderful item to dream about.

The poems senryu are in fact very difficult because there are the simplification of the idea, Japanese in all its long culture have provided of I improved that they are known, many of it real works of art and many of use in well-known sayings, I liked yours, congratulations

The perfect poem reflects the almost universal feeling of loving ice cream--then you are lucky enough to find the perfect picture! Aw, that life should be just that simplified! Maybe someday when we get all our warring worked out, we can just all sit around and eat ice cream to our hearts' content! 'Til then, we can dream. Nice poem to spark the imagination.

Dreaming of ice cream for both the young and the old; maybe even a sugar plum or two. Such a great picture you chose to accompany you poem. It's still a little chilly here, but I think I may have to take a trip to the store.

A very well-written Senryu. I volunteer to dream of ice cream any time of the day or night. There is nothing that can compare to a nice ice cream on a hot summers day.

This is a delightful senryu. 'Ice cream castles chill' - good line with good use of alliteration with the letter C, and metaphor. Written in 5/7/5 syllable form it is very good. 'Midsummer Night's Dream' - so true, and clever little pinch from Shakespeare. Good Luck in the contest. Wrm regards Dorothy
