Hello my friend yes it seems harsh but all you can do is pray , hopefully he will find the strength to pull through and become clean and return home back where he belongs. He is still your son that doesn't mean you don't love him because of his addiction ,it is the addiction you hate you just have to be cruel to be kind and keep praying regards Jill

Hi Jill, thank you for your kind words and for understanding my plight. I think sometimes I feel so guilty about NOT doing anything but pray, but it really is the best thing.

Patty, my heart goes out to you as you deal with the addiction. Our children are so special to us and when they take such a path, it breaks our hearts. May Gregory come to a point when he will get the help he needs to recover from the addiction. Patricia

Thank you, Patricia. My daily and hourly prayers are that he will find a path to recovery. Thank goodness, he does text every other day or so, and we talk about once a month. I didn't ever think he would fall into this life. Thank you for reading and reviewing,

Being a recovering addict, with 12years clean, this poem is right on point, we must be loved but no enabled, he will come to realize that his addict is a fun are the monster that it is, just pray never stop praying and loving, his time is his time.

Thank you for your heartfelt wishes. As you can see, this is the reason why my story about rehab is so important to me. I'm hoping to 'write' my son out of the darkness he lives in.
