Thanks for bringing light to the extent this addiction has taken on our youth. In the Bible, we read of demon possession but today, it seems the devil uses drugs instead. May the Lord free your son from this addiction and restore him fully. Thanks for sharing this personal story.

Thank you again, for reading my work. This poem was a true labor of love. It is hard to share so much - I feel a great deal of pain and shame about this subject. I feel like I somehow let my son down.

I'm so sorry! Prayer is the best thing you can do for him. He has to want to get free from this and if he truly does, take the steps necessary. The sorrow and heartbreak comes through well in the poem. It's hard to turn away our flesh and blood, but there must be consequences for his actions. Hopefully, this bold love will bring him back to you and to the Lord.

You're welcome. I know it has to be heartbreaking for you. It's hard when we want someone to change and we can see the damage they are doing to themselves. I've had to tell myself this many times - only God can change hearts. Keep praying!

Oh God love you Barb, I am so sorry. It is such a heartbreak to see our young people throw their lives away on drugs or alcohol. Tough love is hard to do, but necessary. Thank you so much for your kind words. I knew if I brought my plight to my Fanstory family, I would feel the support I so desperately need. My daughter, husband and I, are holding one another to not enable him. Some days are harder than others.
