This poem tells a deep and disturbing tale. I see it as a husband/wife who has succumbed to the demon drink, but it could apply equally to any loved one.

Sadly we lost our brother Paul to this disease seven years ago.

Deeper "than deep!" The words were germinated in the heart, sprouted through the soul and then grew tall for us all to read. I'm wondering if this is a personal biography of the author.
