That guy in the photo would take care of you, all right. They are always talking about dental implants on TV. Apparently they can pull the teeth and get the implants installed the same day. I've been fortunate. My fillings are hanging in their, fortunately. I don't know what your mental state would have to do with dental work. Sounds like you've been getting quite a run-around. Hope you can get things resolved. judi

I enjoyed reading what you wrote about your teeth. It was amazing how every person you went to see for help acted as though they couldn't do
anything for you. I had a lot of problems with my teeth too. The top ones have been out for years but I still about 8 of them below.

Hi Ine! Yes, great post! I have trouble too, and just can't afford a dentist. And my husband too, he needs his all pulled. We just can't afford it. I enjoyed your account of this part of your life Ine, and sure hope you get your teeth taken care of somehow...they always just get worse and worse. x

I am so sorry to hear you are having problems with your dentists/teeth. I thought you got implants the same time I got mine three years ago. I am so happy with the result, They are expensive but well worth it for me.

That is a terrible subject, but you wrote it into a great story. I don't know if it's Sudden Flash Fiction. However, for me, I can say you accomplished the following (I just learned on WD for flash fiction): 1) one heck of a hook 2) character in conflict something 3) Satisfy the reader. It seems wordy in parts. Great visual imagery. Good introduction and follow through of plot into an ending. Nice and neat work. Stay optimistic about the situation. Good luck in the contest. This is a tragic situation, but I feel like you are writing about true personal experiences. If that is so, this piece does not qualify for the Sudden Flash Fiction contest, because it calls for FICTION and this seems to be non-fiction. ??

One other note:
1.) very young. I gather possibly cheap (s)lave labour.
