Oh! I love penguins, they are adorable! I Think they are the best. Talk about an equal partnership, dad doing his fair share of the parenting, what a guy.
I love your haiku, very adorable. Nicely done!

Love your poem. The male penguin is a "baby daddy". Your words create a clear pic of the penguin and make the reader smile. I did watch a show on Nat Geo about the penguin fathers.

I love 'baby daddy' used in this way. It is nice to find an occasional male animal that cares for the young or eggs.
Enjoyed the haiku:)

This is a haiku with excellent imagery and connection
in the penguin/egg, and a cute satori line
Even though they don't fly, penguins are birds
so it may have to go in a different chapter
I've seen several Nature movies/shows on the Emperor Penguin,
the brutal conditions they've learned to withstand are incredible.
The adaption behavior is amazing, and one advantage,
no predators in the winter.
Excellent picture and haiku

Thank you for your great review and comments for my penguin haiku, mermaids. I'm pleased you enjoyed the poem, and I truly appreciate your kind response. After 37 reviewers, I was reminded penguins are birds. LOL The bird chapter is closed for the haiku challenge, so have to remove this and write one about a real mammal. I'm so embarrassed.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Hi IndianaIrish - this is a good haiku with lines one and two interconnecting perfectly and your line three is a good and informative satori. Yes, male penguins are the ones that look after the new born penguins. A good addition to the book. Warm regards Dorothy x

I read about that somewhere, they are incredible creatures, aren't they. Can you imagine a human father doing that while the wife nips down the pub and has wine and a nice meal while dad minds the egg? LOL, now that would be good. This is so good, Karyn, and I love the picture with daddy looking down at the egg. Well done and well done on the challenge. :) Sandra xx
