Your poem flows well and does a great job of showing how the web of deceit is built one lie after another. A great deal of emotion was called up in reading your words, and I think I was hit in the face about how lies erode trust.

Hi patty, I am glad you got an emotional response. I do agree with you on "lies eroding trust". I hate liars /lying. sooner or later it's difficult to lie to cover the last one etc.Thank you for your kind words "well penned" as this is important for the readers.

I thought this was quite good.
It worked a theme through it quite well, and the imagery evoked the idea of a cunning manipulator weaving his web of lies to achieve his aims.

I have difficulty with 4 stars without knowing what's wrong in the reader's eyes I I appreciated you reviewing. Would you please tell me what was needed to improve it? I am here to learn. Thanks

I rank 4 stars as good; 5 stars as excellent, and 6 stars as exceptional, to me it just didn't have a hook, or that something special to it to push it past the good into the excellent. Just my personal taste, that's all.
