I am not really into genetic science that experiments around the human DNA, grafting this with animal DNA, in the name of improving the human race. Come to think of it, how can you improve a pure human DNA when in the first place, scientists graft Human DNA with the lower animal DNA. It is like impregnating a clean river with silt. Anyway, you really have a prolific imagination, do possess the gift of story telling and is truly skilled as a prose writer. An excellent job.

You certainly know how to tell a good yarn, Rhonda.
The characters are well rounded and well described. The action flows smoothly.
Altogether, it's a real pleasure to read.

Well, stem cell research -- man can grow human body organs in pigs. Basically half human and half pig, Think we are tinkering with god Almighty here. Also, you do know about the sheep, Dolly, that was cloned many decades ago... surely man has cloned half animal, human hybrids by now in secrecy. As your story goes.. it is intriguing and kept my attention well. I learn more as i read , like a computer or drone. Are many roads to be a successful writer. This looks promising... enjoyed it, although a long chapter manged to read it. i wonder why fans here on fanstory can not read a couple pages of prose and tey they can knock out many chapters in a novel by Stephen King? So, I do not but it that they say the chapters are too long... is very short compared to a novel from a book store. i think need overcomes will to read, like quicker to read a poem that pays the same doubloon than a novel chapter. Well done, looks good enough for me but i am not a pro editor. BOO!

You're so right on the poems vs chapters. That's why when you post a poem, it gets lots of reviews. Problem with the poetry is that I have trouble understanding them sometimes... hehe.. Boo's a smart ghost, thought, and probably figures them all out.

I use to write prose before I backslided to poetry. Really, I do novels better but it takes so much time I ain't got. Yep, I thought ghosts had a lot of time on their hands too. See you later in review wonderland. BOO!

"This gives us permission to experiment on them, without regard for human rights." Reminded me even before author notes of Hitlerian practices. Made me cringe wondering where the author is going.
As she says though, will have to "look beyond the story" for a while.

We all make mistakes, my friend. I'm so happy you were able to find all three of them. I'm a Texan, and that's for sure. Rebel and Yankee? That was some time ago, however treating a group of people as though they are less than human has been going on for generations of people, including the way the white man treated the aborigines in Australia, or the American Indians here in the States.

Yep for sure. I recently obtained the Roots Miniseries on DVD. had it on Video years ago and eventually moved right away from VHS so was so glad to obtained the whole series in the compatible region code with excellent Subtitles as well.

And that is another group of people I was referring to. It's easier to look at our own problems by looking through the eyes of sci-fi creatures.

Thank you, Dusty. The baby's father is Todd, Koko's husband, who is also part of the coyote clan, so they have similar DNA. It is about as strange as it gets in this chapter. I'll go back to more normal stuff soon.

Thank you, Douglas. It's sort of a strange chapter, but it had to "go there" soon. People were beginning to guess some of it. I had lot of foreshadowing. Anyway, it's different.

Yeah, poor Ayala did get left out of the real truth, but so did Koko. They are afraid to tell her, because she'll worry more about the baby, but she'll learn it before long anyway. To be honest, the others are a bit worried about the baby as well.
And speaking of leaving folks hanging... got a little cliffhanger going with Brady and Rosaline!
