Picture this:
When the taxi arrives (every morning) she won't open the door until I put my foot in on the other side. I'm thinking :
For goodness sake you are 16.
so now I smile when I see her standing there.
whose mad?
Your story captures the essence of the concern for them. Without the underlying frustration.:-)) Z.

I truly appreciate your taking the I e to find and read this story. You are absolutely correct about my story lacking the underlying frustration a parent has every day. I commend your efforts. Rod

Hi Rod: Thinking about you lately--figuring you were busy writing some new stuff. I just love these little short pieces. If there is anyone in this world I think I understand, it's mothers of autistic kids. In fact, I identify with any mom that worries about her kids. I know it doesn't do any good, but I worry anyway, just in case. Laugh. It's a cute story with a perfect upbeat picture, and it brightened my day just to read it. Thanks for posting. Good concern, service and commitment to special school children; this fictional work in limited words opens with a nice catch and ends with a curious conventional statement, I liked the theme, plot progression and appropriate use of dialogues.

Hi Rod,
I enjoyed your short short story.
Difficult to write in so few words.
At least the rules didn't say you could only use 100 syllables no more no less and must tell a complete story to boot.
Any ways good story
Best regards,
K River

I'm sure that the parents of disabled children take comfort in those compassionate bus drivers - definitely a challenging, yet rewarding job. Very well written story for the 100-word dash contest.

I'm pretty sure parents who have a child with any sort of learning disorder or disability feel much the same way, Anonymous Author.
Well done, good luck in the contest.

Hi there,
A good little piece for the competition. I'm sure all parents worry just as much about their young children but these drivers do a great job.
All the best

Dear Mystery Writer,
I realize this subject may be near and dear to your heart but I think you could have done more with it. You spent a lot of time on the bus' travel and the sick boy, taking time away from the main characters. I would reconsider that. Good luck in the contest!

Thank you for sharing my story and your comments, Robyn. Not much more one can do with a 100-word limit.
