This is a very well written but very sad poem you have penned. I am sorry about your wife, but happy you are still here with us writing! Blessings, Teri

Amen! No matter what happens we know our spirit will be cancer-free in Him Who conquered sin and death for us. It is a great way to address cancer, in a poem and show you have already won.

My sincerest condolence on your loss. I can relate to your cancer dilemma. I lost both my father and brother to lung cancer. You described the demonic disease so accurately in your poem.
Thank God, you are still here. At least, someone is cancer-free after a horrible encounter.

Spirit for living is the most wanted quality for living or survival, perchance spirit is ageless, genderless or something that is never vulnerable to any disaster in living, so well conveyed the theme and the message is clear as the story is clearly expressed in unrestricted rhymes; I enjoyed the value exalted and the artistic presentation of a sensible tale; the flow of thoughts is natural like the visual imagery; it was a pleasant read.

Yes, a second chance at life, but it's tough to lose your mate first.

A loved this short poem with great rhyming words and flow, the fight mankind has with cancer is certainly a battle many have failed to win, your poem is a winner though and six stars is the only score I can give, love Dolly x
