Good afternoon Jaybird, I'm so sorry that you lost your wife so long ago. It must be so difficult to have been without her all of these years. Luckily she is there for you to hold in your heart. Blessings :)

I really like this. I wish I had a sixer. We all have lost love ones to the dreaded cancer. I pray you do get over it. But it appears you've made peace with God in your Spirit and know that you are Blessed.

I am so sorry about your dear wife. I am joyous you wrestled this monster to the pit. Twenty years - praise God. I will add you to my prayer list for many more years. Your poetry is a treasure we want as long as God allows!

This is beautiful. As I have lost a good friend to cancer, I can understand how painful both the loss of someone you love to it, and the pain of having to go through it yourself are.

I'm so sorry that you lost your wife to cancer. That would be an awful experience. Congratulations to you for beating your own cancer call. The disease claims far too many victories, but not you because you are a survivor. Well done.

Very astute poem on the visitation of cancer. It's sounds as if you have lost someone to it and now it is visiting you. The beautiful part is that you're not going to let it take your spirit away. Keep that positive attitude. My belief is a positive attitude helps in the cure. I was through it and have been clear almost five years.

Hi there,
Cancer is a bugger of a thing. It's random and ravages and worst still is resilient, but it can be beat and strength of spirit is a must.
I lost my father to cancer in 1991 when I was 18. tough.
All the best
