What a delightful picture you paint - a true "a-ha" - tadpole waterside!
It is not often I read a haiku that makes me actually picture someone just sort
of enjoying nature and have an "epiphany" of connection (which is how I
always
imagine haiku was born).

Nicely done Indy :-)

tree frog's eggs hatch
on forest leaf over pond
tadpole's waterslide

A clever use of words in this short piece, Karyn -
I couldn't touch a frog for some reason - I guess
it's because they're slimy - I was weeding in the
garden border once and touched one accidently
(didn't know he was there) - I yelped like a pup
and my heart did a somersault. How silly is that!!

I'd kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it. I love frogs. Thanks for you wonderful haiku.
Wishing you the best...

A very well-written haiku. The little frogs' playground are the leaves over the pond that makes a wonderful slide for the little ones just hatched.

Yeah, I use those colors for defense, too. When I wear red, orange and green
no one will sit next to me on the stubby bus.

I can almost hear the tadpoles crying, 'Wheeeeeeee!'

Good luck with the challenge.

Peace, Lee

Thanks so much, hw! I really appreciate your review and the extra star. I saw a National Geographic of the tiny tadpoles doing the slip 'n slide into a rainforest pond, and "Wheeeeeeeeeee!" Is the perfect description. For such tiny creatures, they sure have some cool things about how they live. Thanks for your awesome review.

Eeeeeehaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Can't you just see them tree froglets water sliding their slippery way into the wide beyond! Love the imagery. Made me laugh...and at the end of a late shift, with an early shift beginning in 8 hours, a laugh's always welcome. Ta muchly. xx :) :) :)

Night! Ant xx
PS You're really into National Geographic, aren't you! ...and of course the female carries the male for a bit...she's just exhausted the poor little blighter. It's the least she can do... Sheesh!

Eeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa! is right, Ant. Those cute little tadpoles slide down the leaf using their egg goo and plop right into the pond. It's like they are using a slip 'n slide. Thanks for your review. Making you laugh is the very best compliment I could ask from you! Thanks for reading and your little PS made me laugh. Poor little blighter. Right!

Wanna meet me half way for...
    a drink/coffee/smoothie/Guinness/Long Island Iced Tea/hot tea/Diet Coke/guava juice...not especially in that order?

Figure out where half way is, and I'll be there! If it's in the middle of the ocean...I'll rent a cabin cruiser.

How about 'all of the above'? I've a sneaking suspicion half way is, indeed, somewhere in the Pacific. I supposes Hawaii is right about there...somewhere... I wonder where half-way the other direction finds us? I'll check it out and let you know.

It all sounds like good, clean fun to me, Kar.
Yet another well written haiku from your talented pen.
Your bug-eyed froggy is a cute little chap.

LoL it is so cute! I wrote a haiku about a tree frog last year. I love the little guys. Your haiku has the right amount of syllables and an adorable satori. I can see the tiny tadpole's waterslide and the little frog. Good job, my friend.
