This 5-7-5 about love, Compassion, poses a timely question as our government stirs our country back into the Cold War era. This time it will be with the whole world, except Russia.

It is a cold wind blowing. They say he throws a grenade into meetings, then people are more than happy to settle for anything less. Well it is not fitting for a president to negociate this way. He has put the soldiers overseas at risk with this latest move. I am not so clever but I can think of ten better ways to protect America. Billions on a wall when there are hundreds of tunnels, bringing back coal industry with no regard for climate warming, ignoring Standing Rock's crucial plea, treating Mexico like a naughty child, etc. On a lighter note, in the midst of this turmoil and chaos, I believe he will be the catalyst to a better, peaceful America. I hope so. Bless, judester

This is a very well written 5-7-5 poem you have penned. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery. Your notes were great too! Best wishes in the contest! Teri

Your poem calls attention to a societal problem. Before love can be lost, there has to be love in the first place. Your poem is very nicely worded and presented. Great job with message. Marilyn

Thanks for the review. I just find people so aggressive and callous these days. A Trump mentality where degrading women, mocking the handicapped and selecting one religion over another is accepted. Let's not forget what happened in Rwanda where the Belgiums did the exact same thing, dividing the previously peaceful hutu and tutsi tribes against each other. Cheers, j

I am very much for Trump. I think America has taken a back seat too long. We have to unite as a nation. Can we do it? I don't know. First we have to respect each other's choices.

I am sorry I could not give you a higher rating, but as this is a 5-7-5 poem we must keep to this number of syllables. I counted 8 in line 3. Unless you count 'bitter' as one syllable. Let me know if I am incorrect and I will up my review. Cheers.

That was great artwork for your 5-7-5! Very clever and creative. It's hard to review something done so well because there are only three lines. The metaphor and the meaning come across and ties in perfectly to the artwork.

Thanks for the review. I cannot read or reply to chat sites any more. People that voted for Trump are so arrogant and prejudiced. I replied to one (my last, haha) very nicely and the guy replied that I need a crying blanket and I lived such a sheltered life. This guy has absolutely no idea of my life and circumstances, yet flippantly blew me off. Anyone who knows me, knows that my life has been quite the opposite of sheltered. Cheers moon baby, j
