I most certainly can understand the writer's inclination to write as if another person, expressing thoughts for others, and taking on a character as you write, much as an actor does when playing a part. I thought this was very cleverly expressed and a most interesting poem to read. The words were graphic but the symbolism was subtle. I'm not sure I can say I "enjoyed" reading it because I couldn't relate well with the emotional component, but I read it with much admiration nonetheless. Well written and powerful, Meia. Excellent work.

It is sad when there are those who wear a mask and hide their true evil selves behind it. You never know who is lurking behind the facade presented.
Your poem is well presented, as you write as a character it has a very profound effect over writing about a character.
This is very well done, the impact carries a vivid image for the personality type and I have met this type as well. They are frightening.

This is an incredibly strong write. Sharp as a razor's edge! I love it! "The summer pudding of your womb" ... very original (at least to me)! "vinegar and vitriol" ... what a nasty combination. :)
By spacing your lines far apart, you build anticipation for your reader ... a clever technique!

This is a really fascinating piece and so well set out for being read on screen as the spacing never lets one see more than three lines at a time so the poem is unravelelled bit by bit. I have not seen this done before a technique specifically fashioned for on-line reading.
The following sentence (condensed display for the purpose of reviewing) interested me:
"The summer pudding of your womb
still spills red juices, month by month
and so,
though you are gnarled and wasted,
under that cheap whitewash, daily painted."
A fine reference to the menstrual cycle if ever I saw one.
Your notes are extremely interesting. One cannot help but pity these women really, in their ignorance applying potions such as white lead to the skin, and sugar to the teeth that were guaranteed to exacerbate the very conditions they were trying to cure. The white lead treatment was a very ancient remedy, used by ladies in the days of the Roman empire when white skin was considered beautiful.
Me, I like a healthy tan myself but that isn't good for one either.
The turn of phrase, level of research and creative layout make it sixworthy.
